Information we collect

When you create an account, sign in, book a lesson, or submit a review, we receive your name and email address, Google authentication information, lesson preferences, booking details, review content, and payment-related identifiers. We do not store an account password. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by us.

How we use information

We use this information to manage your account, process lesson bookings and packages, create Google Calendar and Meet invitations, provide teaching support, prevent abuse, keep required business records, and display reviews that you choose to make public.

Public reviews

When you select the public review option, the display name, rating, and review text you provide appear in Student Voices on the public website. You can edit, make private, or remove your review from My Account.

Service providers

We use Vercel for hosting, Supabase for account and booking data, Google for sign-in and Calendar/Meet, and Stripe for payments. Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms.

Retention and your rights

We retain records only as needed to provide lessons and meet legal obligations. To request access, correction, or deletion, contact maki@sakurajapaneselesson.com.
